Holistic Health & Fitness brings a new approach to fitness and health training in Ashland Oregon. We call it Holistic Kinesiology.

Kinesiology is the exploration of how we humans move.

Kinesiology examines how the body is functioning bio-mechanically physiologically, and even psychologically.

Biomechanically we look to correct and produce the optimum alignment of joints, and muscle length /tension relationships, which produce efficiency of movement with no undue stress on the musculoskeletal system.

Physiologically we look at how the body is functioning internally.

We (our bodies) are a system of interdependent systems. Each system relies in a sense on the health of the others.  Remember the saying you’re only as strong as the weakest link. Well this is a very good example of this. For instance, I have written extensively on the digestives systems affect on the immune system, detoxification system, and hormones (endocrine system.)

Psychologically many folks are living each day with challenging thoughts that are stopping them from stepping forward to create the health and wellness they desire. Many times they don’t even realize they are causing some of the frustrations in their lives by the thoughts and actions. Poor, or un-serving thoughts, values and beliefs can wreak havoc with our happiness and our health. These patterns need to be identified and address.

Holistic Kinesiology health is an approach that takes all aspects of the human condition into account to create health and wellness. Holistic Kinesiology includes the environmental, social, physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of a person.

Put together Holistic Kinesiology offers an integrative approach to creating health and wellness through finding balancing in the physical, emotional, spiritual, social, and environmental aspects of a client’s life.

You can’t have real health if you are not happy in the social, emotional, spiritual parts of your life because they are causing stress in the system. Nor can you have true wellbeing if you are dealing with physical and or psychological challenges.
