A Day In The Life Of Healthy Living

What does it mean to live a life of health and wellness? For many, this is only a partially formed concept. Thoughts of eating healthy come to mind but the specifics are not there. Then thoughts of exercise surface, but lacking any clear-cut steps. Very seldom are the thoughts of sleep, hydration, and breathing occurring when associations of health and wellness are considered. Lastly, our own self-image i.e. who we believe ourselves to be is almost certainly unrealized as the most important component in living a health and wellness lifestyle.

For most, health and wellness is just an obscure idea never to be realized. Many have the feeling of “It would be nice; however, it just seems too big of a lifestyle change”. Where does someone begin? How is it going to affect their life experience? So many questions arise with a thought of a health and wellness lifestyle. When a person cannot answer these questions it is very often dropped as something that is too difficult to achieve. Yet the person has yet to even try.

It is only when folks are either motivated to change, or they feel they have no choice in the chase of illness or disease that they begin to ask the question “how do I live a life of health and wellness and what are the steps”.

With the question “What are the steps”, the ego may just say, “there is more than one step, can’t I just take a pill, this is to hard”.

Many clients will say “It’s easy for you because you are a practitioner but it’s very hard for me”. I do hear this quite often in the early stages of coaching clients. All this is coming from the ego, which doesn’t want to change its position.

Everyone who is at this point with anything in their life experience must realize there must be a change in perspective, and perception. It is not hard, to live a life experience of health and wellness, not at all. So here are a few thoughts that will trigger a change in your perspective.

If I asked you to climb Mount Everest that would be hard. You would have to train and dedicate incredible amounts of time and finances to just getting ready to do the climb. Then the actual climb itself is brutal on the mind and body. Many brave souls have died on just this attempted to summit.

If you had to raise two million dollars in two weeks so that you could save a loved one’s life, that would be hard. Banks aren’t just going to give you the money. You would have to sell everything, and ask family and friends to give you money without the ability to pay it back. It would be a hugely stressful and energy draining task.

Now here is one that may seem easy, but in reality for the novice is excruciatingly hard. In fact it can drive most people to the point of insane frustration. What if I asked you to stay in meditation for 30 minutes without moving? This is, for the novice, incredibly hard and takes a herculean effort. Keeping the mind from wondering off in thought is exhausting. As soon as you think you are free of thought you realize you have drifted off again. Moment after moment you keep slipping off into thoughts as if you have no control. It is enough to drive a person crazy. Then there is the pain and numbness that the body will experience from being in a lotus position. How can you keep your mind still when your back is aching and your legs are buzzing from nerve compression? Certainly this all clears up with consistency, however, it does take time, and until then it is pure torture for most.

These three examples are plenty to change your perspective on the simple steps of living a health and wellness lifestyle.

They are simple because you are already doing them, just not at the level to create health and wellness. In fact, for most they are so low on the chart of doing these steps the right way that their ignorance is creating illness and disease.

Honestly, I am asking you, is it hard to drink adequate amounts of water every day? Most folks have no issue drinking coffee, alcohol, soda, etc., but when it comes to water they don’t bother unless they are incredibly thirsty.

Everyone is eating food through the day, so how hard is it to eat quality foods, and not consume all the fast foods and poor quality foods that so many rely on to get them by?

It is not hard to get quality sleep, and to breathe diaphragmatically through the day or to take twenty to sixty minutes a day to get some exercise in. I would hazard to guess that for most they spend much more that this watching television or at their computer on Facebook at night, neither one of which improves your health and wellbeing.

Finally your thoughts must be addressed. This again will be the most challenging for some. Yet it is simple to realize who you believe yourself to be. Just ask yourself “What do I believe about myself, how do I feel about myself, my body, my life, my relationship, my job and finances, my past, my future? The answers will outline who you believe yourself to be. Anything that happens will be experienced through these beliefs, just like a camera filter. Your beliefs will alter the true experience and taint it with perceptions based on those beliefs.

Living a lifestyle of health and wellness is easy. I call it “The Easy Health Formula”.

Everyday, take time to focus on breathing deeply and diaphragmatically. Drink half your weight in ounces of water and spread it our throughout your day. Eat highly nutritious foods in the form of vegetables, fats, and proteins. Make sure to get in twenty to sixty minutes of some kind of exercise everyday, and allow yourself at least eight hours of deep restful sleep. Finally, and most importantly recognize your old self-image and let go of it by releasing your beliefs, and learning to be quiet and peaceful in the mind.

You will be amazed at how much of your challenges will clear up and possibly vanish once you begin to integrate a health and wellness lifestyle.

Your deepest healing is here right now, right where you are. It is in every moment. It awaits you in the recognition that you are that, Life itself.

Do you want to be healthy, fit, and enjoy a deep sense of wellbeing and abundance? Then let go of every idea and attachment to the contrary.

Are you ready to change your life experience? Are you ready to begin enjoying health, fitness, wellbeing, and abundance?

If so, I want to help you.

It takes one simple step. You just have to ask.

I wish for you a Vibrant Life.

Take Good care, Dave.
