Two Keys To Health. We take a lot for granted when it comes to our bodies. We ignore the signs and symptoms of illness and disease, thinking that the body is going to take care of it.
Sadly we don’t want to take responsibility for our bodies, and so just go about choking down all manner of what are labeled as foods, yet in actuality are toxic to our bodies.
Most of us will use the reason that we were not taught this stuff in school so its not our fault, but really, does that actually make things better or just give us an excuse to continue on poisoning the body.
I realize the word poison seems a bit extreme, however it is exactly what needs to be said in order for us to wake up and realize the truth.
When we think of poison we immediately think of someone ingesting something and dying very quickly. When we compare what we eat and drink on a daily basis we don’t see that as poisoning because we don’t feel a life threatening effect. This is what makes it so tricky. It is due to the slow subtle negative effects of much of what we consume as foods and drinks that we don’t associate them as poison.
My Google dictionary gives the definition of poison as a substance that is capable of causing the illness or death of a living organism when introduced or absorbed.
I would ask you to think about what you are taking in as food and fluids, and honestly recognize that for most of us we are introducing toxins daily into our bodies.
Just a short list of some of these toxins are refined sugar, caffeine, soda, alcohol, artificial sweeteners, bleached flour, processed dairy, candy, processed meats, commercially raised animal meats, even commercially raised vegetables and fruits that have been sprayed with synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, rodenticides, and insecticides.
I am not asking you to stop eating fruits and vegetables; on the contrary, they hold part of the cure for detoxifying the body. I am only asking that you make the best choices and consume organic foods.
Now that I have brought you to the brink of frustration, I want to say you have all the ability to give the body what it needs to heal itself. Remember you don’t do the healing, you just give the body what it needs and then let it do the magic.
The two keys to health are as simple as detoxifying and supporting the body.
The first and most important step is to stop feeding the body the toxins. Just this alone makes a huge difference. When you stop feeding the body toxins it now has a fighting chance to heal. This means omitting the toxic items we just spoke about and also determining if there are other items you may be intolerant to. I can always help you with that.
The next step is to flood the body with highly nutritious foods and fluids to aid in the healing process.
This is based on your own individual needs, and should be determined by a health practitioner. However, it is certainly a good step to make sure you are taking in a high quality plant based multivitamin, anti-oxidant, and mineral complex.
Here’s the thing folks, your body doesn’t care if you have had a bad day and just want to stop and get pizza for dinner. It doesn’t care if you want to go out with all your friends and drink alcohol all night. The body doesn’t care if you just broke up with your boy or girlfriend and you are going to watch romantic comedies all night and eat a half-gallon of ice cream.
So the question is if it is not the body triggering you to eat and drink these toxins, what, or who is?
Here is where we find ourselves. We must realize that it is only our own delusional self-image, our egos that are looking for some sense of escape from our daily emotional pain and suffering. It is the ego that is always looking to the outside world in this case food and fluids to give it a delusional moment of and love and wholeness. That is all that is going on.
If you say it is hard to not eat and drink these toxic items, it is only due to the toxic thoughts and self-image you are holding onto.
So just like detoxifying the body, you should detoxify the mind. Do you see how every so-called problem always comes back to ridding ourselves of the delusion of a false image of the “Self”?
Let go of the old thoughts of who you have always been. Get rid of it all; down to the last little habits that have always held you back from going for it.
